Meet Doupi, the chubby feline officer stealing hearts across Chinese social media and drawing crowds to the Wuhan Police Museum.
The seven-year-old grey British Shorthair shot to fame during China’s National Day holiday in early October, when museum staff dressed him in a miniature police outfit.
Named after a traditional Wuhan breakfast dish, Doupi usually spends his days keeping museum staff company. But his newfound celebrity has made him an unlikely ambassador for the museum, drawing visitors eager to meet the furry officer and explore its exhibitions on local police history.
