Later footage showed people walking along the shoreline and a partially inflated dinghy nearby. Gravelines, near Calais, is among the French departure points used by migrants attempting to reach the UK by small boat. UK Home Office figures recorded 144 small-boat arrivals on September 14 and 55 on September 15, while no arrivals were recorded from September 16 to 18. The figures are provisional and do not establish whether the boat filmed near Gravelines reached Britain.
