Andy Burnham has called for a closer relationship with the EU, which could even include reversing Brexit.
For now, the Prime Minister says he will stick to Labour’s red lines that there will be no return to the EU’s single market, customs union or freedom of movement.
However, in his speech to the Labour Party conference, he pledged to set out the options for Britain’s long-term relationship with the EU. If one gets support, it could become a manifesto promise at the next general election.
