Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited a Kyiv school on Thursday that was damaged by a Russian drone strike while children and staff were sheltering inside. Serhii Movenko, head of the Solomianskyi District State Administration, said 104 children and 60 staff members were in the shelter when the drone struck, adding that the warhead remained on the second floor without exploding and everyone was safe. School principal Valentyna Chrona said the building was left without windows but staff worked to restore it and resumed classes. CCTV footage showed the drone striking the school wall, damaging the brick facade and leaving a large opening and burn marks. Zelensky thanked staff for getting the children to safety as Kyiv faced repeated aerial attacks.
