Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu’s Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games campaign came to an end without a medal after she suffered a quarterfinal defeat to China’s Chen Yufei. Sindhu lost 21-11, 18-21, 10-21 in a hard-fought contest, ending her bid for another Asian Games medal.
Reflecting on her exit, Sindhu said she was “hurting” and revealed that playing three matches in less than a day had taken a physical toll. The Indian badminton star, however, vowed to work on her shortcomings, saying one painful result cannot define a journey that means so much to her.
