Champat Rai’s close associate defends the senior VHP leader amid the Ram Temple donation theft controversy, calling the alleged irregularities a “betrayal” of his trust.
Describing Rai as a man known for his simple lifestyle and decades of sacrifice, he said Rai had little personal wealth and questioned why someone who had dedicated his life to the Ram Temple movement would misuse donations.
“He has nothing except two dhotis and two kurtas. His entire world fits into a single bag,” he said.
