The center-left Green Party says it is ready to join governments in two German states, despite losing votes. According to early exit polls, the party won 14.5% of the vote in Berlin, a decline of 3.9%. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, it appears to have 5.4%, down almost 1%. But in both states, the Greens could be needed to form coalitions. Green Party co-leader Felix Banaszak told DW they would only govern with parties that reject antisemitism – an apparent refence to contested allegations against some in the Berlin Left Party.
