Former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda has died at the age of 90. Fukuda became leader of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party in September 2007 and served as prime minister during a period of significant diplomatic engagement with the United States and China. Associated Press archive footage shows Fukuda meeting then-U.S. President George W. Bush in Washington in November 2007, holding talks with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and President Hu Jintao in Beijing the following month, and meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2014. The footage also includes Fukuda at a news conference following a cabinet reshuffle in 2008 and at a Japan-China exchange event in Tokyo.
