Viral videos showing wave-like movement in a farm well in Gujarat’s Morbi district have prompted an official investigation after the unusual water movement was captured on camera.
Morbi District Collector Swapnil Khare said geologists who inspected the site believe the movement is likely caused by trapped air beneath the water, creating ripples on the surface. He added that the Gujarat Groundwater Research Institute has been asked to conduct a detailed scientific study and submit a report.
Authorities say the exact cause will be determined after the investigation is complete.
