President Trump told Fox News host Laura Ingraham he has no regret over going to war with Iran, even as it hangs over his party’s midterm chances.
When Ingraham said he’d be “cruising” to victory on $2.25 gas if not for the war, Trump answered, “You don’t know that,” and added he’d do the whole thing again.
Gas is now one of the biggest drags on Republicans heading into the midterms in November.
Trump insisted his supporters aren’t demoralized but “very proud” he’s keeping Iran from a nuclear weapon, and predicted the war “ends right after the election.”
