Indian Army Aviation pilots carried out a daring casualty evacuation near Nun Kun despite strong winds, a treacherous slope and virtually no landing space.
The helicopter was stripped of non-essential equipment and carried limited fuel to reduce weight. At the last available landing window of the day, the pilots executed the critical manoeuvre with just one skid touching the slope, successfully evacuating the casualty.
