Falling for the charm and lies of Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes | 60 Minutes Australia

Listen to this article

Tyler Shultz is a former intern at disgraced Silicon Valley startup Theranos. He is also the grandson of prominent American statesman George Shultz, a board member of the health-tech company. In 2015, Tyler became one of the whistleblowers, exposing founder Elizabeth Holmes and COO Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani for fraudulent practices at Theranos.

In 2022, Tyler talked to 60 Minutes about his unique experience at Theranos, and how, in the aftermath of the scandal, he dealt with the blow from his grandfather, who continued to support Elizabeth – now a convicted fraudster.
