Russian strikes on Ukraine’s Kyiv region and the northeastern Sumy region caused damage and casualties overnight, Ukrainian officials said on Wednesday. Two people were injured in the Kyiv region, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the regional military administration. The strikes damaged civilian infrastructure, including homes and warehouse facilities in the Bucha, Brovary and Boryspil districts, and triggered a fire at a warehouse. In Sumy, firefighters battled a large blaze at a non-residential building in an industrial area following Russian strikes, according to the regional emergency service. Ukraine’s National Police said Russian forces carried out 62 strikes on settlements in Sumy region over the previous 24 hours, killing one person and injuring eight others.
