Congress MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam faces serious sexual harassment allegations from 11 female students. Following an internal inquiry, JNU dismissed him on October 9, while Delhi Police have registered an FIR and summoned him for questioning. BJP women MPs have approached President Droupadi Murmu seeking strict action. Akoijam denies the allegations, calling them politically motivated. Congress has reportedly said, “Let’s hear his side too,” raising questions over whether the party should ask its MP to step aside pending investigation. Is Congress being too soft on its own leader?
