Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his negotiators reportedly prepared T-shirts bearing the words “Kiev regime” as gifts for US peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner during talks in Kyiv.
Footage shows Zelensky greeting Witkoff and Kushner before negotiations began. David Arakhamia, head of the parliamentary faction of Zelensky’s Servant of the People party, was seen wearing a black T-shirt carrying the same wording. Ukrainian media reported that the shirts had been prepared as gifts for the two US envoys.
Zelensky described the meeting as a “good conversation” and said the talks would continue, stressing that the priority was achieving a “worthy, reliable, and lasting peace for Ukraine.”
Witkoff and Kushner travelled to Kyiv after more than three hours of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, with Witkoff saying the discussions had produced significant progress and “new ideas.” The visit marks their first official trip to Ukraine as part of the current US peace effort.
