Former President Barack Obama urged Michigan voters to support Democrat Abdul El-Sayed for the state’s open US Senate seat in a newly released ad.
The ad is among those that Obama’s office said he cut for 24 Democratic campaigns for the US Senate and governor’s races across the country.
The ad comes ahead of Obama’s planned visit to Michigan to campaign with El-Sayed and gubernatorial hopeful Jocelyn Benson in Detroit on Oct. 24, as early in-person voting opens across Michigan.
El-Sayed is facing former US Rep. Mike Rogers of White Lake Township in the November election.
