In this Sagarmanthan session, Firstpost’s Hem Kaur Saroya speaks to Samir Saran, President of the Observer Research Foundation (ORF). Samir Saran talks about the rupture in the Western-built Global Order. He also highlights that the world is watching the end of two superpowers, the US and Russia. This is due to America’s war in Iran and Russia’s War in Ukraine. Samir Saran highlights India’s role in the next decade and how New Delhi must balance its relations with China moving ahead. Samir Saran also discussed the growing partnership between India and the European Union. He also pitches India as an alternative option for the Global South, mainly for a young and growing Africa.
