Hinge says to delete it. Users say it won’t let them.

Hinge markets itself as the dating app designed to be deleted, but complaints we obtained from the Federal Trade Commission accuse its parent company, Match Group, of burying users’ profiles until they pay to be seen.

Match Group says the algorithm is built to help people get out on great dates, and nobody outside the company can check either version because the algorithm is a trade secret.
