Qatar rejected accusations made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the United Nations General Assembly, after he accused Doha of spending large sums on a campaign to influence global public opinion against Israel. In a right-of-reply statement, Qatar’s representative rejected the allegations and said the rhetoric against Qatar was an attempt to divert attention from what he described as Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories and their humanitarian consequences. Netanyahu also accused Turkey of engaging in similar efforts during his UNGA address.
