Spanish Guard Searches Abandoned Flour Mill For Hidden Migrants | Times Now World

Listen to this article

Spanish Civil Guard officers searched an abandoned flour mill in Ceuta on September 20 as security operations continued following the mass irregular crossings from Morocco at the end of July. Local media reported that officers found one Moroccan man inside the disused building and checked his identity, while several other people believed to have been sheltering there reportedly left before the main police units arrived. The former flour mill had previously been designated as a government-controlled reception and processing site for migrants but was removed from that list on September 1. Spain said around 70,000 people entered Ceuta irregularly on July 30 and 31, with approximately 63,000 subsequently returning to Morocco within 72 hours.
