U.S. War Secretary Pete Hegseth joined members of Texas A&M University’s Corps of Cadets for a workout on Saturday before addressing them during his “Send Me” Tour stop in College Station, Texas. Footage showed Hegseth jogging alongside cadets before telling them that the Department of War’s work extends beyond the Pentagon to ROTC campuses and corps of cadets. Hegseth also visited the university’s Veterans Resource Center and was due to attend Texas A&M’s football game against Kentucky, where prisoners of war and those missing in action were set to be honoured. His Texas trip also included stops in Austin as part of a separate “Arsenal of Freedom Tour,” including visits to Capital Factory and defence manufacturer Saronic Technologies and an oath of enlistment ceremony for new military recruits.
