A major security and immigration lapse has been reported at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport after three Italian nationals allegedly travelled from Amritsar to Delhi and then flew to Munich without completing mandatory departure immigration clearance.
The passengers arrived in Delhi on Air India flight AI 1115 from Amritsar at around 12:50 AM on September 4, 2026, before boarding Lufthansa flight LH763 to Munich at 1:45 AM. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a show-cause notice to Air India, giving the airline seven days to explain the lapse.
