Yesterday, 1,750 flights were cancelled affecting the journeys of hundreds of thousands of passengers.
Nats, who are in charge of air traffic control, blamed a technical error.
Heathrow, the UK’s busiest airport, says its operations are recovering but knock-on disruption is expected.
