A US federal judge has blocked a Texas law restricting public drag performances for a second time, ruling that the legislation violates First Amendment protections for free speech.
The judge said that Texas Senate Bill 12 was “unconstitutionally vague,” noting that its broad language could potentially expose performers such as Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley and Miley Cyrus to penalties if their performances were deemed “erotic.”
