An American missionary who was kidnapped in West Africa in October has been released.
Kevin Rideout is in good health, according to his Christian mission organization. He had been working in Niger for 19 years.
President Donald Trump celebrated Rideout’s release on social media Friday.
No armed group has claimed responsibility for the abduction.
Historically, Niger has seen frequent attacks from armed groups with links to both al-Qaida and the Islamic State.
