The National Security Guard (NSG), US Army Special Forces and Pimpri Chinchwad Police carried out a large-scale joint counterterrorism exercise at the Infosys Phase-2 campus in Hinjewadi, Pune. The mock drill simulated a high-intensity terrorist attack and hostage rescue operation, with commandos rappelling from helicopters to neutralise threats and secure the site.
More than 100 NSG personnel, 17 US commandos and multiple emergency response agencies took part in the exercise, aimed at strengthening inter-agency coordination, crisis response and the protection of critical IT infrastructure.
